How Suboxone Clinics Work
Suboxone is a medication that includes both buprenorphine and naloxone. These medications curb cravings while offering relief from painful or intense opioid withdrawal symptoms. This medication is FDA-approved, meaning that it is safe for long-term use. Medication assisted treatment with Suboxone, in combination with counseling and case management, is part of our comprehensive treatment approach.
Initial Induction
– Manage Withdrawal –
Initially, our clinicians will monitor the patient’s withdrawal symptoms and provide Suboxone as needed. During this time, our team will review your medical history to ensure that the patient receives Suboxone at the proper dosage.
Outpatient Treatment
– Heal –
During treatment, patients will continue to receive Suboxone as their provider prescribes. The patient will engage in group therapy and one-on-one counseling sessions to help them address the underlying causes of their opioid use disorder.
Medical Taper
– Recover –
Some patients may benefit from medical tapering off the medication as part of their treatment plan. However, others continue to receive Suboxone to encourage long-term recovery. Our treatment providers will work closely with each patient to determine the proper strategy for them.
