How Our Subutex Clinics Work
Our Massachusetts clinics can prescribe Subutex as needed for opioid use disorder. This medication is typically provided as a sublingual tablet taken once daily, and it’s recommended to begin Subutex soon after the first opioid withdrawal symptoms have begun.
Starting Subutex
– Relief –
During the withdrawal period, Subutex can be used to provide relief from symptoms. Your provider will closely monitor how you’re responding to Subutex and adjust your dosage as needed.
Outpatient Treatment
– Heal –
While you’re in treatment, you’ll take Subutex as provided. During this time, you’ll participate in group as well as one-on-one therapy sessions where you’ll be able to work through the complexities of substance use disorders.
Continued Care
– Recover –
Subutex is often used during the earliest days of recovery, with many individuals in recovery beginning a medication that includes naloxone, such as Suboxone, after withdrawal symptoms have subsided. Ongoing support in the form of peer mentors or group therapy can also make a difference during this time.
Subutex Clinic Services
During the recovery process, you will benefit from a complementary mix of services.
