How MAT Clinics Work
MAT can be an effective treatment for both opioid addiction and alcohol addiction. Our Ohio clinics treat addiction with medications like Vivitrol, Suboxone, Subutex, and methadone.
Vivitrol
– Extended-Release Naltrexone –
This medication is often used to treat both alcohol and opioid addiction. It blocks the effects of these substances and is safe for use once withdrawal symptoms have subsided.
Suboxone
– Buprenorphine and Naloxone –
Suboxone both relieves withdrawal symptoms and reduces cravings, making it an effective medication for long-term recovery.
Methadone
– Stabilization –
Methadone is a full opioid agonist. This medication can stop cravings, but requires more supervision from your provider than Suboxone or Vivitrol.
MAT Clinic Services
During the recovery process, you will benefit from a complementary mix of services.
