Who We Are
BrightView is not your typical “drug rehab” program. Actually, here at BrightView, we don’t even use the term “rehab program” at our treatment centers. That’s because we are a comprehensive addiction treatment center. We provide outpatient addiction treatment to patients in West Columbus who are struggling with drug abuse or alcohol addiction.
Our effective, evidence-based approach to addiction treatment includes medication-assisted treatment (MAT), individual counseling services, group therapy, and social support services. We also help those who are struggling with co-occurring disorders and provide individualized treatment plans. Our addiction treatment programs meet each patient wherever they are. For those who may be seeking drug treatment for something such as opiate addiction, we primarily prescribe buprenorphine, buprenorphine/naloxone (Suboxone), and naltrexone (Vivitrol). Although we do not currently prescribe methadone in our Columbus addiction treatment clinic, we have helped many patients concerned about withdrawal symptoms transition from methadone to another medication.

What to Expect in Our West Columbus Addiction Treatment Center
Our Columbus intensive outpatient treatment program allows our staff to develop a unique treatment plan that works with each patient’s daily life. Patients are able to maintain their regular commitments and attend to their individual needs. We accept Medicaid, Medicare, and most forms of private insurance to make sure that substance abuse treatment is available to all those who need it.
During an initial assessment, we’ll determine the best course of treatment to address your needs. Medication-assisted treatment is typically best for those who are struggling with opioid addiction. It addresses the physical discomfort that can often accompany withdrawal. Additionally, certain medications can reduce cravings. Many of those who struggle with addiction will relapse at some point on their recovery journey without the right kind of support. However, medications like Vivitrol and Suboxone can reduce the risk of relapse and lead to lasting positive outcomes.
Therapy and Support
At BrightView, medication-assisted treatment is always complemented by therapy. During group and individual sessions, our patients work through the factors that may have contributed to addiction in the past. From a family history of addiction to mental health issues like anxiety or depression, it’s important to address these issues in a safe, supportive environment. You’ll build a network of support and find the motivation you need for your journey to recovery.

Medication-Assisted TreatmentWe provide safe withdrawal medication and a management plan to help ease your physical cravings so you can focus on recovery. Common medications prescribed include buprenorphine, buprenorphine/naloxone (Suboxone), and naltrexone (Vivitrol). Addiction medicine research indicates that combining medication, individual counseling, group therapy, and social support provides the best chances for long-term recovery.
Individual CounselingOur individual counseling will help you make progress toward your goals and identify plans for healing and recovery. Our fully credentialed counselors are specially trained to help patients process challenging emotional experiences related to addiction including trauma, grief, anxiety, anger, guilt, shame, and others. Your dedicated individual therapist will work together with you in an understanding, collaborative manner to develop personalized treatment goals. This step ensures that your treatment timeline and intensity is matched to your unique history and needs. These are critical steps in overcoming the disease of addiction.
Group TherapyWe understand that the idea of group therapy may seem intimidating or overwhelming to some. Addiction impacts every area of a person’s life, including their relationships. So we encourage participation in group therapy to help you accomplish your goals and start feeling better faster. Our group counseling gives you time to share your thoughts and feelings about recovery in a supportive environment with others on a similar journey. Group participants heal relationally by asking questions and receiving encouraging feedback from others with similar experiences.
Case ManagementOur case managers can help minimize barriers with you to help you stay focused on recovery. Common support provided includes assistance with organizing transportation, housing, food stamps, employment, child support, Medicaid, even legal and/or court issues. Your Case Manager will assess your situation and advocate for you, coordinate your overall care, take care of any insurance issues, connect you to additional services as needed, and help you manage any crises that come up along the way.
Social SupportRecovery is more than just stopping substance use. We understand that it can be overwhelming to try to handle all of this yourself, so we’ll help you take it one step at a time by building a supportive community around you. We understand what you are going through. Recovery is challenging, and our team works hard to help minimize barriers and empower you to continue progressing on your journey of healing.
