Chad Smith
Chief Executive Officer

Chad serves as BrightView’s Chief Executive Officer and is one of the founders.  He an attorney and certified HIPAA security professional who has focused his career on healthcare operations, technology and compliance. Prior to joining BrightView, he co-founded a series of healthcare technology companies where he managed technical and professional service teams, oversaw business development and sales, and acted as the privacy officer. He serves on the Board of Advisors for the Northern Kentucky University, College of Health Informatics, where he teaches courses focused on the intersection of law and healthcare technology. Chad earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Akron, Master of Science in Health Informatics from Northern Kentucky University, and his Juris Doctor from Northern Kentucky University’s Chase College of Law.

Brad serves as BrightView’s Chief Financial Officer.  He ensures that BrightView is financially healthy so we can continue to provide comprehensive care to those in need. Prior to joining BrightView, he spent over 10 years assisting in the growth and success of small and middle market companies. He loves seeing BrightView’s compassionate, evidence-based approach to reach more and more lives and help people find and sustain recovery. Brad earned his MBA from the University of Notre Dame and bachelor’s degrees in Engineering and Mathematics from the University of Michigan.  In his downtime, Brad enjoys spending time with his family and trying out healthy recipes.

R. Corey Waller - Chief Medical Officer

Corey Waller, MD, MS, FACEP, DFASAM is board-certified in emergency and addiction medicine with extensive experience at the local, state, and national levels. He works with the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) and related organizations to advance the evidence-based practice of treatment and recovery for individuals affected by addiction. A nationally recognized expert in substance use disorder (SUD), he is editor in chief of The ASAM Criteria. As BrightView’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Waller oversees medical team education, practice standards, and care delivery. By actively engaging and leading BrightView’s physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants, he drives service quality, care integration, and the delivery of consistent patient outcomes. Prior to joining BrightView, Dr. Waller was managing director of the HMA Institute on Addiction, where he was responsible for consultation and development of addiction treatment systems for hospitals, primary care practices, justice involved populations, and addiction treatment providers. His experience also includes serving as senior medical director for education and policy at the National Center for Complex Health and Social Needs (National Center), medical staff chief of pain medicine at Spectrum Health System in Grand Rapids, MI. Additionally, he oversaw the development of core competencies for addiction treatment in the labor and delivery unit and the neonatal abstinence syndrome treatment algorithm for the Level 1 neonatal intensive care unit. Dr. Waller earned his master’s degree in biology, with a neuro-molecular focus at Southwest Texas State University and his medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He completed his emergency medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and is board-certified in emergency medicine and addiction medicine.

Mark Schodrof - Chief Operating Officer

Mark joined BrightView as Chief Operating Officer after playing an integral operations role as he helped ATI Physical Therapy grow to nearly 900 clinics nationwide.  He began his career as a clinician, serving patients in both hospital and independent outpatient settings.  He believes strongly that utilizing research to develop an individualized treatment program, along with providing excellent customer service, is a winning formula in healthcare and is happy to have found a home at BrightView where the mission aligns with this approach.  Marks leverages his expertise to promote process improvement, org chart structuring, and leadership development.  This helps ensure consistency at each center so that every patient has the same great experience and quality outcome regardless of which BrightView center they visit.  Mark earned his Master’s of Physical Therapy from Midwestern University.

Jane Cobler - Chief People Officer

Jane serves as BrightView’s Chief People Officer, focused on enabling BrightView’s growth strategy by unleashing the potential of its talent. Jane began her healthcare career over 20 years ago, initially in infectious disease research and eventually pursuing a career in physical therapy. Prior to BrightView, she spent over a decade with ATI Physical Therapy, where she advanced her career from staff clinician, to operations management, to enterprise transformation and eventually hu

man resources. In HR, she led human capital strategy and business alignment, communication and change management, clinical and leadership development, and talent acquisition and workforce planning. She facilitated the delivery of high-profile enterprise programs and projects to build and align culture in a fast-growing and changing organization.

Jane received her B.A. in Biology from Carleton College, and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. With 40 other diverse, high-potential leaders, representing multidisciplinary and multinational organizations, Jane was chosen among her peers to participate in Advent International’s Leadership Academy, a selective leadership development program delivered in partnership with Harvard Business School Executive Education.

Jane lives outside of Chicago with her husband, 2 children and pup Harlow. They enjoy traveling, exploring the outdoors, and especially visiting the National Parks.

Julie Seitz - Chief Compliance Officer

Ms. Seitz is a licensed attorney in Ohio and Kentucky and is the Chief Compliance Officer for BrightView Health.  She has been in the healthcare and compliance space since beginning her legal career over 25 years ago, first as a litigator and then as a part of the legal team at Catholic Health Initiatives, now CommonSpirit Health, and then as Chief Compliance Officer for Sound Inpatient Physicians, Inc., a national physician practice for hospitalists, intensivists, anesthesiologists, and emergency medicine clinicians.  Ms. Seitz joined BrightView because she is excited to bring her experience and subject matter expertise to the ever more important service of addiction medicine.

Ms. Seitz has extensive experience in healthcare compliance, state licensure and scope of practice for physicians and advance practice professionals, revenue cycle, clinician documentation, billing and coding, auditing, accreditation, HIPAA Privacy and Security, Patient Safety Organizations, risk management, Medicare/Medicaid advocacy, value based healthcare, and compliance investigations.  She is an accomplished speaker, speaking most recently at the 2022 Society of Hospital Medicine Converge Conference.

Ms. Seitz lives in Ohio with her husband and has a daughter in high school and a son in college.  She is also an elected trustee in the township in which she resides.

Before joining BrightView, Jordan spent over six years on PwC’s M&A team and two years establishing the integration team at Compass real estate. His experience spans the deal spectrum from diligence to post close integration on both the buy and sell side. He has supported projects ranging in size from cross-border mega deals to industry consolidation of privately held entities. He has a passion for developing integration playbooks to optimize cross-functional deal processes and promote continuous improvement efforts at rapidly growing organization. Jordan earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Emory University. He currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife and dog.

Joe serves as BrightView’s Vice President of Corporate Development. He leads BrightView’s mergers and acquisitions team, helping to increase patient access to its comprehensive, evidence-based treatment approach across the United States. Before joining BrightView, Joe spent seven years in various leadership roles in public accounting and over three years in corporate development and strategy at a global, publicly traded steel manufacturer and metals recycler. Working in a wide range of industries, he has orchestrated and led dozens of domestic and international transactions and has a successful record of piloting and implementing strategic plans resulting in millions in value creation. Joe also served as an adjunct faculty member at Ball State University for three years, and his work has been published by the Journal of Advances in Financial Education and the Indiana CPA Society.

Joe is a Certified Public Accountant, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Master of Science in Accounting. He also serves as a trusted advisor to several for-profit and nonprofit organizations. Ball State University has recognized him as a distinguished alumnus while the Indiana CPA Society has recognized his leadership in the CPA profession. Joe lives in Cincinnati with his wife and son.

George is a CPA and the Chief Accounting Officer for BrightView Health where he leads the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.  Prior to joining BrightView, George worked for Total Eye Care Partners as their Chief Financial Officer and Privia Health as their Corporate Controller.  He came to BrightView based on aligned interests that the patient needs come first and that starts with easy access to care and excellent customer service.  George earned his Master’s in Accounting and bachelor’s degree in business administration – accounting from West Virginia University. Outside of work, George likes to spend time with his wife, 2 children & 2 Boston terriers.

Jake Holler is the Vice President of Operations in Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia for BrightView.  A trained physical therapist, Jake spent 6 years working with ATI Physical Therapy as a Multi-Site clinical Director, Worker’s Compensation Lead for Baltimore City, Baltimore and Harford Counties, and Coordinator of Clinical Excellence for the state of Maryland.  In these roles, he developed a passion for implementing best practices and research to improve quality of care and patient outcomes.  After leaving ATI, he joined DaVita Kidney Care in Baltimore where he led significant expansion of the home dialysis service line and produced historically high outcomes for in-center dialysis patients in the Baltimore market.  The opportunity to provide the same excellent service for patients with substance use disorder in Maryland and Delaware prompted him to join BrightView.

Jake earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy at the University of Delaware where he created and implemented a peer support program for students that resulted in a poster presentation at the APTA’s 2014 NEXT Conference and has since been replicated at many of the nation’s top physical therapy programs.  Jake has a proven track record of developing talent as evidenced by his role as a mentor to over a dozen clinicians and by elevating multiple leaders during his career. He was also recognized as a leader in clinical education by the University of Maryland.

A Pennsylvania native, Jake now lives in Maryland with his family.

He previously worked in investment management at Orchard Holdings Group and The Sterling Group. Before that, he worked at Procter and Gamble as a capital projects manager and a new product delivery leader. He has an MBA from Harvard Business School and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the University of Cincinnati.

Prior to BrightView, Melissa owned and operated JSI International, a nationally ranked recruiting firm. She is a Michigan State Spartan and enjoys equine activities in Colorado every chance she gets.

He previously worked as an Associate on Shore Capital’s investment team where he focused on conducting due diligence on new investment opportunities and implementing value creation initiatives within portfolio investments. Before that, he worked as an Analyst at Jefferies in their healthcare investment banking group. He has B.S. in Finance and Technology Management from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.

Mikaela Taylor is a licensed clinical mental health counselor and is the Vice President of Clinical Operations for Ohio. Mikaela has grown with BrightView and started during the company’s origin 5 years ago. Mikaela leads a team of regional clinical directors to invest in the individual growth of each of our Ohio clinicians and champion quality care for our patients. Mikaela utilizes her expertise in Outpatient Addiction Treatment to engage our clinical team in prioritizing a growth mindset surrounding their professional development, teaching best practices, and overseeing the delivery of high-quality clinical supervision. Mikaela experiences regular interactions with patients and loves being able to be both on the frontlines as well as behind the scenes in orchestrating and implementing BrightView’s holistic approach to treatment. Mikaela lives in Cincinnati and in her free time loves to travel the globe with her husband, Josh and Australian Shepherd, Sherlock.

Rick Lauer is Brightview’s Chief Legal and Compliance Officer.  Rick and the Compliance Team work to ensure that BrightView operates in full compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.  Rick has been a practicing attorney for more than 27 years after graduating from the University of Cincinnati College of Law.  He focuses his practice on healthcare regulatory matters, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate.  Rick has served as in-house General Counsel for several healthcare companies including a prescription drug wholesaler, a third-party logistics provider to the pharmaceutical industry, and a medical device manufacturer.  Rick and his wife Melissa have three daughters, and in his spare time he enjoys listening to live music and driving old German sports cars.

She received her bachelor’s in public Relations and Communications from Northwest Missouri State University. Andrea serves as BrightView’s Vice President of Managed Care.  In this role she leads the strategic payer initiatives that support BrightView’s growth objectives and ensure BrightView can provide comprehensive addiction treatment to those in need. Andrea has worked in managed care for over twenty years and brings experience from working at a large academic health system to BrightView.  Most recently, she led contracting and payer relations for CommonSpirit Health at Home, a national home health and hospice provider.  Andrea holds a Master’s in Health Care Administration from Oregon State University. She lives with her husband and son in Cincinnati, where she enjoys trying out new restaurants and going to soccer matches.

Ken serves as BrightView’s Vice President of Information Systems and Technology. He is responsible for BrightView’s IT infrastructure, including networks, phones, computers, and other devices. He’s also responsible for BrightView’s Electronic Health Record, Laboratory Information System, email, and other systems used by BrightView staff.  Ensuring that our staff have all the tools needed to effectively and efficiently serve our patients is his top priority. Ken has worked either as a consultant or employee with BrightView since 2015.  Ken earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Ohio State University where he was a three year member of the varsity fencing team.  In addition to his work managing/directing IT services for a number of mental health and SUD treatment organizations, Ken worked as a substance use disorder counselor in the early 1990s. Ken enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons and his oldest son’s fiancé whenever possible.

Colin serves as BrightView’s Vice President of Marketing and Communications.  He leads BrightView’s initiatives in direct-to-patient marketing, guiding and optimizing digital and traditional communication channels. Prior to joining BrightView, Colin led marketing for Beacon Orthopedics and Sports Medicine and served in a variety of marketing roles for other organizations.  He is an MBA candidate at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and earned his Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati.

Rhonda serves as BrightView’s Vice President of Clinical Services in Kentucky.  Prior to joining BrightView, Rhonda has over 18 years’ experience in behavioral healthcare. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in treatment, clinical supervision, training, and leadership in outpatient, inpatient and medication assisted treatment. Rhonda earned her master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Kentucky and bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Sociology from Georgetown College.  In her downtime, Rhonda enjoys spending time with her family, playing with her dog and shopping.

Adam serves as BrightView’s Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management, leading Brightview’s efforts to be reimbursed for the great care delivered to patients.  Adam came to Brightview with over 20 years of revenue cycle experience. Prior roles include multiple Healthcare organizations in Cincinnati and consulting nationally, working with hospitals, physician groups, home health agencies, and revenue cycle vendors. Adam graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Business Administration. In his downtime, Adam enjoys sports and other outdoor activities, and spending time with his family.

Tricia serves as the VP of OTP Compliance.  Her main responsibility is ensuring that BrightView and our Opioid Treatment Programs remain compliant with the regulations set forth by the governing state and federal agencies. Through compliance, she assures that BrightView and its employees can confidently treat our patients in a safe environment.  Tricia graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Cincinnati.  Tricia has a decade’s long history practicing as a pharmacist in healthcare as well as psychology and addiction. She appreciates BrightView’s comprehensive and caring approach in the treatment of substance abuse.

Melissa is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with a supervision designation. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Cincinnati.  Melissa has been with BrightView since 2016, during which time she has served in a variety of roles, and has worked closely with clinical supervisors, counselors, case managers, and peer recovery supporters who provide care to pregnant patients with Substance Use Disorder (SUD). Currently, her focus is quality improvement in her role as VP for Quality & Program Excellence.  Melissa has enjoyed helping people seek out healthier and happier lives by making changes through a strengths-based approach.
