At BrightView, everyone deserves access to local, comprehensive addiction care. Our outpatient programs combine medication assisted treatment (MAT), individual and group counseling, and case management services. We understand that some LGBTQIA+ patients may want other affirming resources, and we can connect you with supportive spaces if that feels helpful.
Facing a substance use disorder (SUD) is challenging. For LGBTQIA+ individuals, discrimination or past negative healthcare experiences can make it even harder. Studies show that many people avoid sharing their identity with providers—or avoid treatment altogether—because of fear or stigma. At BrightView, we work to change that by providing safe, respectful, and inclusive care where every patient is treated with dignity.
BrightView is a safe, welcoming space for LGBTQIA+ patients and allies. Our counselors, providers, and case managers are trained to understand both substance use and the unique challenges many LGBTQIA+ people face.
We can support you with:
Many people in recovery also live with a mental health condition. Because members of the LGBTQIA+ community often face higher rates of anxiety, depression, or trauma, BrightView provides psychiatric services to treat co-occurring mental health disorders along with substance use.
Your SUD treatment plan is built around your needs and may include:
BrightView is committed to inclusive care. We respect your gender identity and sexual orientation, always use your chosen name and pronouns, and protect your privacy. We expect all patients to treat one another with respect.
Your care plan is also personalized. If it feels helpful, we can connect you with LGBTQIA+ recovery spaces or support groups, but only if that’s something you want.
