Chad serves as BrightView’s Chief Executive Officer and is one of the founders. He is an attorney and certified HIPAA security professional who has focused his career on healthcare operations, technology and compliance. Prior to joining BrightView, he co-founded a series of healthcare technology companies where he managed technical and professional service teams, oversaw business development and sales, and acted as the privacy officer. He serves on the Board of Advisors for the Northern Kentucky University, College of Health Informatics, where he teaches courses focused on the intersection of law and healthcare technology. Chad earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Akron, Master of Science in Health Informatics from Northern Kentucky University, and his Juris Doctor from Northern Kentucky University’s Chase College of Law.

Brad Barker - Chief Financial Officer
Brad serves as BrightView’s Chief Financial Officer. He ensures that BrightView is financially healthy so we can continue to provide comprehensive care to those in need. Prior to joining BrightView, he spent over 10 years assisting in the growth and success of small and middle market companies. He loves seeing BrightView’s compassionate, evidence-based approach to reach more and more lives and help people find and sustain recovery. Brad earned his MBA from the University of Notre Dame and bachelor’s degrees in Engineering and Mathematics from the University of Michigan. In his downtime, Brad enjoys spending time with his family and trying out healthy recipes.
Cherie Fesperman - Vice President of Operations
Cherie Fesperman - Vice President of Operations for North Carolina
Cherie Fesperman is BrightView’s Vice President of Operations. She is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all BrightView’s North Carolina sites. Cherie has her undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida in Communicative Disorders. She also has a Master of Science Degree in Speech Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University. She also has her Certificate of Competency in Speech and Language Pathology. As a healthcare executive with over 20 years of experience, Cherie has experience pushing for excellent patient outcomes while leading recruitment, training, and mentoring of leaders and teams in multiple sites. She also managed and optimized financial performances of multiple acute rehab units as well as developing annual budgets by analyzing clinical and operational data, projected growth, and anticipated efficiencies, resulting in better financial planning and cost control. Cherie seeks to leverage expertise in healthcare operations and strong business acumen to drive operational excellence and deliver exceptional patient outcomes at BrightView. She lives in Metro Charlotte, North Carolina with her husband and two children. She loves golfing, hiking, exercising, and being outdoors with her family and her two dogs.

Brandon Elliott - Vice President of Operations for Ohio
Brandon serves as BrightView’s Vice President of Operations for Ohio after previously leading the state’s Outreach team for three years. Prior to BrightView, he spent over a decade in long term care as a Director of Nursing Services. Throughout his career, Brandon has succeeded in clinical, operational and sales industries by utilizing a people-first mentality. He earned his BSN from The College of Mount St. Joseph, while playing football. Outside of BrightView, Brandon enjoys traveling and supporting all of Cincinnati’s sports teams with his wife and three daughters.

Kelly serves as a Vice President of Operations. She leads BrightView’s efforts to develop and implement efficient operations and effective systems to ensure that we provide comprehensive care to our patients. Prior to joining BrightView, Kelly has over 10 years’ experience in Behavioral Healthcare working in both clinical and operations roles. Kelly earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Louisville, and her Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Kentucky. In her downtime, Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband, two young children and dog.

Jenny Berens - Vice President of Talent Management
Jenny Berens is BrightView’s Vice President of Talent Management. She leads the Learning and Development, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB), and Human Resource Business Partner functions. With over 15 years of experience in strategic project and program management, mainly in healthcare, Jenny is known for her commitment to talent development and her collaborative approach. Jenny has successfully led cross-functional teams in areas such as internal mobility, performance management, and strategic planning. She holds a degree in Entrepreneurship from Grove City College and a Master’s in Human Resource Development from Xavier University. Living in Mason, OH, Jenny enjoys outdoor activities with her husband and five children.

Joshua Lenavitt is BrightView’s Vice President of Regulatory Affairs with responsibility for the all markets. He has been with BrightView since March of 2021. Joshua and the regulatory affairs team work to ensure that BrightView meets all regulatory licensing and accreditation requirements outlined by all applicable state and federal regulations to ensure BrightView provides a safe place for recovery to happen. Joshua has more than 3 decades of healthcare experience in Operations, Training, Healthcare Compliance and Regulatory Affairs.

Alex Raible - Vice President of Talent Acquisition
Alex serves as BrightView’s Vice President of Talent Acquisition. In this role he oversees recruiting efforts across all divisions at BrightView. Prior to his current role, Alex spent over 10 years developing and leading recruitment teams focused on healthcare and IT staffing. After making stops in Albuquerque, St. Louis, and Chicago, he returned to his hometown of Cincinnati and joined Brightview in 2021. Alex has a passion for building teams and supporting others in their professional development. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in International Business from Bowling Green State University. Alex lives on the west side of Cincinnati with his wife, Darbey, their two daughters, Hadley and Cecily, and the family French Bulldog, Floyd. In his free time, Alex enjoys reading, listening to live music, and supporting local sports teams.

Julie Seitz - Chief Compliance Officer
Ms. Seitz is a licensed attorney in Ohio and Kentucky and is the Chief Compliance Officer for BrightView Health. She has been in the healthcare and compliance space since beginning her legal career over 25 years ago, first as a litigator and then as a part of the legal team at Catholic Health Initiatives, now CommonSpirit Health, and then as Chief Compliance Officer for Sound Inpatient Physicians, Inc., a national physician practice for hospitalists, intensivists, anesthesiologists, and emergency medicine clinicians. Ms. Seitz joined BrightView because she is excited to bring her experience and subject matter expertise to the ever more important service of addiction medicine.
Ms. Seitz has extensive experience in healthcare compliance, state licensure and scope of practice for physicians and advance practice professionals, revenue cycle, clinician documentation, billing and coding, auditing, accreditation, HIPAA Privacy and Security, Patient Safety Organizations, risk management, Medicare/Medicaid advocacy, value based healthcare, and compliance investigations. She is an accomplished speaker, speaking most recently at the 2022 Society of Hospital Medicine Converge Conference.
Ms. Seitz lives in Ohio with her husband and has a daughter in high school and a son in college. She is also an elected trustee in the township in which she resides.

Jen Dumiak is the Vice President of Growth to CEO Chad Smith at BrightView. Prior to joining BrightView, Jen spent five years as a Strategy & Analytics consultant at Deloitte developing and implementing custom-made machine learning algorithms and predictive models for government clients to enable a more efficient workforce. She holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, an M.S. in Mathematics from American University, and graduated summa cum laude from American University with a B.S. in Mathematics and Economics. In her free time, she enjoys taking her competitive energy out in a variety of sports, being a disappointed NY sports fan, and running outdoors.

Jordan serves as BrightView’s Vice President of Transformation. Prior to joining BrightView, Jordan spent over six years on PwC’s M&A team and two years establishing the integration team at Compass real estate. His experience spans projects ranging in size from cross-border mega deals to industry consolidation of privately held entities. He has a passion for developing playbooks to optimize cross-functional processes and promote continuous improvement efforts at rapidly growing organization. Jordan earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Emory University. He currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife and dog.

Dylan serves as BrightView’s Chief Operating Officer. His team oversees the day-to-day operations of BrightView’s centers. They are responsible for creating and maintaining an optimal environment for providers to treat patients every day. Prior to joining BrightView, Dylan worked in investment management at Orchard Holdings Group and The Sterling Group as well as in capital projects management at Procter and Gamble. He has an MBA from Harvard Business School and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the University of Cincinnati.

Shawn Ryan, MD, MBA, ABEM, ABAM - Chief Science Officer
Dr. Shawn Ryan practiced as an Emergency Room physician and a hospital administrator (Department Chairman of Quality and Patient Safety). During this time, he became acutely aware of the addiction epidemic and began working tirelessly to make a difference in his community. Dr. Ryan serves on many regional, state, and national committees/workgroups focused on turning the tide of this epidemic. He is the immediate-past president of the Ohio Society of Addiction Medicine and the current Chair Legislative Advocacy for ASAM. He is both a board-certified addiction specialist and emergency physician.

Michele serves as BrightView’s Vice President of Patient Services, which means she ensures that patients have quick access to high quality care at BrightView. Michele’s team make certain that whenever the phone rings, a helpful and compassionate person answers. Michele is very passionate about breaking down barriers and creating best practices that support BrightView’s patients in their recovery journey. Michele earned her MHA from Ohio University and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Cincinnati. In her free time, Michele enjoys spending time with her husband and three children and is an avid camper.

Mike DiMaggio - Vice President of Development
Mike serves as BrightView’s Vice President of Development. He leads BrightView’s new facility growth to knock down barriers to treatment and provide easier access to care for patients in need. He previously worked as an Associate on Shore Capital’s investment team where he focused on conducting due diligence on new investment opportunities and implementing value creation initiatives within portfolio investments. Before that, he worked as an Analyst at Jefferies in their healthcare investment banking group. He has B.S. in Finance and Technology Management from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.

Ken Billig - Vice President of Information Systems and Technology
Ken serves as BrightView’s Vice President of Information Systems and Technology. He is responsible for BrightView’s IT infrastructure, including networks, phones, computers, and other devices. He’s also responsible for BrightView’s Electronic Health Record, Laboratory Information System, email, and other systems used by BrightView staff. Ensuring that our staff have all the tools needed to effectively and efficiently serve our patients is his top priority. Ken has worked either as a consultant or employee with BrightView since 2015. Ken earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Ohio State University where he was a three year member of the varsity fencing team. In addition to his work managing/directing IT services for a number of mental health and SUD treatment organizations, Ken worked as a substance use disorder counselor in the early 1990s. Ken enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons and his oldest son’s fiancé whenever possible.

Rhonda serves as BrightView Health’s Vice President of Quality Operations. Prior to joining BrightView in 2020, Rhonda has over 18 years’ experience in behavioral healthcare. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in providing treatment, clinical supervision, training, and leadership in outpatient, inpatient and medication assisted treatment. Rhonda earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Kentucky and Bachelor’s Degrees in Psychology and Sociology from Georgetown College. Rhonda is passionate in the delivery of quality care for individuals with behavioral health needs and enjoys the opportunity to collaborate with teams in supporting this mission. Rhonda lives in Lexington, KY and in her free time, loves to travel with her husband and spend time outdoors.

Adam came to Brightview with over 20 years of revenue cycle experience. Prior roles include multiple Healthcare organizations in Cincinnati and consulting nationally, working with hospitals, physician groups, home health agencies, and revenue cycle vendors. Adam graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Business Administration. In his downtime, Adam enjoys sports and other outdoor activities, and spending time with his family.

Nick serves as BrightView’s Chief Legal Officer, providing leadership and strategy for the organization’s legal affairs. With over 15 years of legal experience, Nick has spent his career handling a wide range of transactional, regulatory and corporate matters for national healthcare organizations. Prior to joining BrightView, Nick served as Deputy General Counsel for Sound Physicians, a national multi-specialty medical group with over 4,000 hospitalists, intensivists, anesthesiologists, and emergency medicine clinicians operating in 47 states. Prior to that, Nick was Vice President & Counsel for Cogent Healthcare, a national hospitalist and intensivist medical group. Nick received his Juris Doctorate from The University of Tennessee College of Law and his undergraduate degree from Carson-Newman University. In his free time, Nick enjoys visiting U.S. National Parks, playing tennis, and cheering on the Tennessee Vols.

Tricia serves as the VP of OTP Compliance. Her main responsibility is ensuring that BrightView and our Opioid Treatment Programs remain compliant with the regulations set forth by the governing state and federal agencies. Through compliance, she assures that BrightView and its employees can confidently treat our patients in a safe environment. Tricia graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Cincinnati. Tricia has a decade’s long history practicing as a pharmacist in healthcare as well as psychology and addiction. She appreciates BrightView’s comprehensive and caring approach in the treatment of substance abuse.

Jena serves as BrightView’s Vice President of Laboratory Services. She oversees laboratory personnel and laboratory functionality across all serviced states. Prior to joining BrightView, she spent 9 years in the industrial chemical industry sector operating both the laboratory and compliance divisions. Jena earned her degree in chemistry from Northern Kentucky University and is currently working towards her MBA at the Haile College of Business. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and mentoring both students and career driven individuals.
